Gross cat food question

Bit of a gross one but will maggots lay eggs in dry cat food? I can’t stand the summer with the amount of flies we get in the house and I have a big phobia of maggots so will they lay eggs in dry cat food?

No, not in dry food. They do like wet cat food though, so I clear up as soon as the cats are done. All cats seem to enjoy chasing and eating flies so I don't get many!

Thanks, she does try to get them but she’s not very good at it sadly (kitten) so we still get so many

She'll be munching them in no time. My 4 month-old kitten isn't there yet but my 8 month-old loves a sky snack.
