I’ve suspected for a few days but today, really hunted and found that my cat has wee’d in the corner of my bedroom. It’s dried but the odour is still there as are the stains on my long curtains. Thankfully, they’re machine washable so they’re already blowing on the line but the carpet needs attention.

What’s the best course of action? Scrub with detergent and warm water? Bicarbonate and essential oils?!

she’s never done this before and has had access to her litter tray / open window the whole time. I’ll keep an eye on her of course but what’s the best approach with the carpet?

How old is the cat? Any chance it has diabetes or thyroid problems?
You can buy bio products to remove the smell. I think there's a thing called urinov.

I would be wondering why they've done it though.

Yeah, more concerned with my furry pal - the carpet can be sprayed and cleaned (spray ordered and arriving today).

She’s just had her 7th birthday. She’s acting normally and her appetite is the same. There’s a couple of cats in the area that have upset her in the past so I’m wondering whether she’s been spooked again. I can’t think of any other reason why.

I’ll definitely keep an eye.
