Help me get my cat back

Hi,

Our cat has been missing for about a month. We have had positive sightings of her about 10 mins away. The photos we have received are a very strong resemblance to her. She is microchipped and neutered. She is registered as missing on the microchip.

A few people message when she is there but we can't see her when we get there (usually a delay as we are at work / childcare issues to go and look) She is likely in someone back garden. She is deaf so calling for her doesn't help.

We have flyer the road (& some!), posted on local FB sites. We will put some posters up as well.

But I really don't know how to go and catch her.

Any advice?

Sorry your cat is missing. You could try going there really late at night with her favourite food, or just something really smelly (eg tinned fish) and see if you can lure her out.

Have you tried knocking on doors there? If you could find a friendly cat person they might be prepared to try and catch her for you

I'd be posting flyers through letterboxes with a photo. Explain that dcat is missing and that she's been spotted locally. I would also be inclined to say that dcat is on a special diet for medical reasons so it's vital she is found. Don't forget to add dcat is microchipped and registered as missing.

Fingers crossed!

Set a trap for her with food - most rescues will have one that you can borrow for a small donation.
