Cat flap that detects cat’s microchip?

I have a new neighbour with 5 cats, and I’ve just found one of them in my house. My elderly cat would be terrified if he found a strange cat in his house.

It looks as though there may now be flaps that can be programmed to accept a cat’s microchip, rather than having to use a collar. Is this right? Can anybody recommend one please? I need to fix this really urgently 😢

I've got a sureflap too and it stops a local bully cat getting in. There doesn't seem to be a problem with tail gaiting.

The only problem with ours is that one cat sometimes comes in quite slowly, leaves her tail in the flap then moves off - but it means that the flap doesn't close properly and anyone can come in!
