Finlay has gone AWOL
He was around on Thursday evening helping with Lego
Friday night I didn’t see him at all before I went to bed, Saturday morning food had all been eaten and tracker showed he was in between 1am and 4am ish
He has not been seen since, tracker battery died yesterday afternoon but assumed he would come home late night/early morning as usual and he hasn’t, DP was up
till 5am and didn’t see him
This morning food not been touched - which I refreshed before going out
Came home 7pm and still no sign that he’s been back - I’m going to walk round to areas he frequents but can’t get to most of them as they are private property (fields)with no public footpaths or bridleways - he also covers quite a big area
If he has not returned by tomorrow morning I’m going to be frantic

Very sorry to hear Finlay has gone Awol.

Keeping my fingers crossed that he's just out enjoying the good weather and will return soon.
Do you have a local WhatsApp chat or similar? That helped me find Karl last time he disappeared.

I went out on a recce earlier but no sightings - other than a dead squirrel

Everything crossed for Finlay's safe return, I can understand your worry after what he has been through ❤️. He has lots of friends out in your area (I think he visits a nursing /retirement home for example?) so hopefully someone will spot him or 'fess up that he has had a sleepover with them.
Crikey they caused such stress along with the joy, the little buggers!

He’s home! Strolled in at midnight - demolished 2 sachets of wet food, biscuits and dreamies
He is not allowed out again until tracker is charged and I’ve had a cuddle

Absolutely delighted that the wanderer has returned.
I do wonder if our cats follow MN. Posting here quite often seems to bring them home. 🤣

Finlay’s predecessor Reuben got locked in a neighbours garage for a few days before we found him - then took a while to locate them to get a key
