Cat huge hard lump on right side behind front leg

Our lovely but nervy rescue cat has a huge (fist sized) hard lump. Only 9 years old.took her to vet and they had no idea so waiting another week for results of needle biopsy.

it’s my son’s cat at he’s far away at uni and beside himself with worry.

few weeks before she had a uti which the vet felt was stress due to her recent visit for annual jabs. Still dealing with that and now this.

she seems happy enough in herself I guess but she’s sticking close to me.

big flipping hard lump. Could it be her lungs?

I can’t wait another week for the results and frantically searching out the pet insurance.

Oh I’m so sorry to read this & understand your worry, If possible and affordable, you could ask your vet for a chest x ray for them to rule out lung issues.

I’m presuming they’ve already done an x ray of the leg and blood tests.

I say this as our darling girl had a swollen leg and it was unfortunately a mass in her lung.

No one online here can know and I hope it’s not the same for your cat, but I wish I’d known it was a possibility before her diagnosis.

Aw thank you. I’ve only had one other cat so not that experienced.its behind her front right shoulder.only did a biopsy. They had no idea.
