Am going to get one of those cameras that you fit to your car round their collar so you can see what adventures they have out in the garden etc...we love watching those types of vids online.

Anyone with any experience of them? Any recommendations on which one to get...or to avoid?

Many thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t put a collar on a cat due to safety concerns. Don’t subject your cat to this so you can watch videos. 🤦‍♀️

Yes, agree with the above. Just carry on watching other cats do this so you don’t have to subject your lovely cats to this discomfort.

Agreed. Safety first.
If it was a tracker in case the cat gets lost and on a safety breakaway collar then fine because that is in the cat’s best interest and the risk vs benefit is positive.
Cat’s welfare first and foremost. Cats aren’t toys.

Hmmmm. Thanks for these replies.

I've been researching, and of course there are breakaway collar versions of these things.

I absolutely love our cat and would never want to put her at risk ofc.

I love cat videos; reckon it might be nice to make some of our won.

Our Philly doesn't really do much in the way of adventures, tbh, so I'd be happy to pop a cat-cam on her and see what happens.

Someone said "safety-first"; well, yes, ofc, but not "safety everything."

I hear quite a lot of "safetyism" these days - not sure if I'm fully on board with that philosophy tbh. Too much caution sometimes, perhaps.

If you’ve ever seen what an injury can look like when a cat gets a leg caught through a collar (the breakaway collars don’t always work) then you wouldn’t think it was too cautious. Cats can lose legs. Or worse.
