Outdoor cat

How do you all go on holiday with an outdoor cat? I don't think he would do well in a cattery as he doesn't even like sleeping in the house. He prefers to just sleep outside and come in for food. I'm thinking of buying a cat shelter like cozy cabin and have someone come feed him.

We have a relative nearby who also has a cat. We cat sit for each other. That said if just going away for up to 4 days we leave out a box of biscuits and a big bowl of water and leave ours to it.
You can also get timer feed trays that release at intervals. Some have space for frozen blocks to keep wet food fresh.
We do set up a motion activated camera when away looking at their favourite spot on the sofa. It is reassuring to see dcat coming and going.
