I have 3 lovely cats, all around 2 now, the 3 of them love going outdoors and 2 of them always come home, I leave an upstairs spare room for window open for them and they wander in and out.
The third lovely boy has taken a liking to a couple who live at the end of my street, they rescue cats so started giving him food and now he won’t stop going there, they have brought him back a few times and I’ve kept him in for a few days/week at a time but the minute he can get into the spare room or past anyone that’s opening the front door he’s out, sometimes he’ll go for a wander but he always then heads to their house.
I am happy for him to visit there as long as he’s happy but think he’s becoming an annoyance to them and I think he would quite happily stay there if it wasn’t for me going to get him/them dropping him back.
How can I stop him going there? My house is really stuffy and I’m menopausal so fresh air is very welcome but hard to come by with having to keep all the windows closed (the house is open plan apart from bedrooms and bathroom)

All Dcats wear a collar and are chipped, coats in good condition and groomed so no confusion as to whether he was a stray

flat cat screens for the window and ask them to shoo him off and not feed him

Maybe tell your neighbours to stop feeding other people’s cats? This situation is entirely their fault.

I agree about them feeding him! I have asked them to stop!

I absolutely second the flat cat screens. They are absolutely brilliant.

They need to stop feeding him! Of course he’s going to keep coming back if he knows there’s food on offer Confused
