No longer a crazy cat lady

I used to have 3 cats which I believe is the starting number for crazy cat lady status. We lost Dboycat who we found abandoned by the bins in November after having him for about 5 years. Today we had to pts Dgirlcat we got from Cats Protection 16 years ago. I am now down to the kitten we fostered at 6 weeks old and who just never left, she is about 8 and has never been an only cat. The house feels very empty now. Please give all your kitties an extra hug tonight from me.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. Your lovely cats were lucky to have such a caring home. My cat doesn’t tolerate cuddles but I will blink at her with extra love tonight. I hope your remaining cat is comforting you 💐

If your remaining DCat has never been an 'only' do you think she could accept another cat, if you get one?
It might not be a bad idea...
My sympathy on the loss of your other Dcats,

Potentially but DH is heartbroken and has said losing them is too painful he doesn't want anymore. We have Ddog as well who remaining Dcat has got wrapped around her little paw but he may not tolerate anyone new.

Yes I meant to say or whatever level of affection they will tolerate. Dgirlcat we have just lost would let you rock her like a baby, remaining Dcat may potentially let you touch her but only if it's in the right place and when she is the right level of sleepy.

I'm so sorry, the pain of losing a pet goes deep x

So sorry about your kitties, give it time and the distribution system may send you another x

Oh OP I really get it. We used to have 3 cats, 2 of whom died within 6 months of each other, leaving us with one remaining 15 yr old kitty, who actually blossomed since he'd been the one under the paw of the other two. The house seemed so, so quiet, even so. Finally our last kitty died and honestly it felt so empty.

Your remaining kitty might appreciate just being talked to. I used to tell our remaining boy stories of what the other two used to do!

That's so sad I hope your OK I'll give Mario a big squeeze tonight

I’m so sorry for your loss. They leave big holes in our hearts. I will give my girl an extra cuddle tonight.

So sorry for your losses, especially the most raw one of today, it hurts like hell I know.
I am glad you have a couple of furry friends still. If your remaining dcat won't let you fuss her, will your ddog? Cuddles can come from all quarters 💐
