Cat's Best ...

Cats best smart clumping.

Biscuitea · 11/03/2025 20:14

Not Catsan. That was the worst I ever had. Honestly I just scoop very very regularly like as soon as a poo or just a pee and I get clumping litter the cheap stuff and scoop it out. I will give the whole tray a deep clean every so often and not have old litter lying in there either.

101Kittens · 11/03/2025 20:15

Greenwood's plant based

Favouritefruits · 12/03/2025 10:07

Sanicat 7 day freshness

Fontainebleau007 · 12/03/2025 10:13

I use Silica Crystals and have done for years

symbioticsoul · 12/03/2025 10:35

Katkin scoop, 22 cats here, 5 trays, it's a game changer , smells lovely.
Appears more expensive per bag, but I use so much less , so it actually works out cheaper .
I buy it from zooplus as cheaper than direct from katkin and no subscription .
Best litter I've ever used. ( get yourself a good big metal scoop though as it's much easier)

biscuitsandbooks · 12/03/2025 11:02

Another vote for Greenwood's but I'm finding it increasingly hard to find unfortunately!

MrsSkylerWhite · 12/03/2025 11:03

Corn based litter from Amazon

ColourByNumbers88 · 12/03/2025 13:00

Greenwood's or Tigerino clumping. We get it from Zooplus. Clear out regularly during the day. 1 bag lasts a month in a large open topped box.

gladwhiskers · 13/03/2025 00:07

Snowflake woodchip.

beezlebubnicky · 13/03/2025 00:09

Cat's Best Original - wood flake litter.

Ultimately the best litter for your cat is the one that they'll use. They'll make it pretty clear if they don't like it by going outside of the box.

Epicusernamechangefail · 13/03/2025 10:25

I have tried many and the best by far are from the sanicat range. They are available from Amazon or Argos.

Another for Cats Best here, been using it for 15 years now. Really deep tray, it clumps really well so no constant emptying the whole tray. Doesn’t smell. Clean pellets can stick to paws (especially if your cat weighs over a stone 😂), but I have a mat that catches most of it.

kitkatnatnat · 15/03/2025 03:59

Another vote for cats best. I’ve tried a few with my cats but didn’t like the dusty/chalky ones. When using cats best it’s good to have quite a wide slat scoop though as it’s not as fine as others

grinchalicious · 15/03/2025 04:29

I use this: https://amzn.eu/d/e4vkNeQ

And it is absolutely amazing, no odour at all and we have several cats.

Pigeonqueen · 15/03/2025 07:32

My cat only likes catsan so we use that and it’s fine but I find the thing that makes the biggest difference is these liners from Amazon which make cleaning super quick and easy and means the pee doesn’t ever touch the plastic of the tray - I think this makes a difference as you never get the urine actually soaking into anything. I do use a large amount of litter though so my cat can’t get to the liner but it works for us. They’re very thick and don’t break easily.
