Softest cat litter for little paws

One of my kittens doesn't seem to like wood pellet litter and is currently weeing and pooing on a bag in the litter tray.
What litter would be softer? Are the silica ones worth a try, or are they a bit sharp?
I think she definitely wouldn't like the clay ones.
Is there anything else on the market?

Sanicat 7day freshness is lovely and soft like sand, my youngest kitten likes to dig in it and have a play before using it properly

I use intersand. It's gotta texture like sand.

I recommend this too! I had 5, now 4 and its the best litter I've ever used. I dislike anything that clumps

having fostered I found that two of them could not get on with non clumping litter and were going outside the tray. Swapped both times to sanicat clumping and had no issues with them using the trays

I came here to say Sanicat 7 day freshness. It's just like sand - very soft. I have it for my elderly cat.
