This is Ian, known as IanyBeany.

Ian is a 12 year old rescue who the RSPCA spent most of his life on the streets and now lives the indoor life with us due to FIV. His original RSPCA notes read "aggressive, feral" from when he was first picked up and then apparently he mellowed over 6 months in their cattery and has turned into a complete love bug.

He can't even go overnight without needing more cuddles. I've got a bit of a habit of waking at 4am and there he was, ready to walk up from my feet to sit on my chest, giving me nose boops so hard that he's given me a nose bleed before... he even tucks his paws round my neck to cuddle me!!! when I fell back to sleep I had Ian on my chest, with his chin resting on my nose! If I don't wake and offer him a cuddle, he wakes me or DH for one! He then comes back in the morning for more cuddles after breakfast, waits outside the shower for DH for him to pick him up and cuddle him before he leaves for work. When I get home from work he squeaks at me continuously until he's picked up and cuddled!

And no, he's not actually a super chill cat. He spends most of his life tearing around the house at breakneck speed, chasing his brother who is WAY more chill, climbing things he shouldn't and "helping" with the laundry! We joke he has 2 settings; chaos and cuddles! He has been known to skid to a halt at my feet from some game he's playing and then climb my leg for a cuddle!
The vet thinks he has some bengal in him....

Anyone else got an uber affectionate cat? I'd love to hear about them!

The late Cheddar was like this. She had absolutely no concept of personal space. She always wanted cuddles. She'd wake me at night making biscuits on my face. She was the sweetest most gentle cat ever. She adored people. She dies suddenly nearly a year ago. And I miss her terribly. But she taught my other rescue, how to behave and I see Cheddar's behaviour on Penelope, which is lovely.

Oh of course, the beautiful Cheddar, have loved reading about your clan over the years!

My Iany too has taught his brother how to behave so my chunky ginger boy Flynn also now is much better mannered!

Cats really are amazing- I feel very lucky to have my two!

Here is a photo of my Adhesive Furry Animal. She is also a rescue, though from a household which had small children and dogs which she couldn't cope with. She likes to spend much of her time glued to me, and settles down next to me on my pillow at night. We spend a lot of time staring into each others' eyes while I stroke her Blush
