Fur loss

Our Abyssinian girl who recently turned 1 has lost a lot of fur on her stomach. Is anyone aware of why this happens?

sometimes they can stress lick leading to bare patches. Cats are weird stress could be caused by any number of things from a change in the weather to building work in the house or you had to go away few days.

Try spraying their bed with feliway this can help give them a chill out spot to relax

There is also flea allergy which can cause hair loss but i assume as yours a pedigree they are indoors .I have a oriental i wouldn't let him out for fear of cat thieves

Over-grooming, stress or pain. I would get her checked at the vet.
