Puzzling Game (Ragdoll)

Our ragdoll loves to play and is good at coaching us what to do! She's quite inventive!

But there's one game that I just don't understand....

She comes up to me with clear "play with me" body language. She then runs and hides under the sofa. I don't fit under the sofa.... I've tried throwing stuff for her to "hunt" from there but no interest.

Any clues?

She's a cat. So who knows?!! 🤣

LOL. But she's a ragdoll so VERY people-focused and dog-like...

My cat hides under his piece of cardboard tent when he wants to play with his wand toy. He loves staring at it and tracking its movements and eventually bursts out and pounces on the feathers at the end of it - and sometimes has a good chew. It mimics hunting - hide stare pounce bite.

When my cat runs up to me with "play with me" body language and then dashes off he wants to play hide and seek! I'd never have worked it out, but DH, who is much more used to having dogs worked out the game immediately! 😂
Its much like peekaboo with a toddler and very cute indeed!

I tried that, and it worked! I ran away and she found me!

Oh brilliant! I'm so glad we solved it!

Our ragdoll cross loves the hide and seek game ...where I just peek around a corner and she pounces out at me. She has to always 'win' of course no pouncing allowed from me! Sometimes I get a little pat on the head 😅
