Long string/thread came out of my kittens bum!

This morning when my cat did a poo there was something still hanging out of her bottom. When I pulled it out it was quite long, not sure what it is! She is quite happy in herself eating and drinking but this really concerns me. Please help 😭

I have no cat experience but could it be worms?
How old is your kitten? I would probably speak to vet and either take the evidence or show a photo. I'm not sure how old kittens are when they are wormed.
We have a dog, he is a terrier so into everything. He is wormed monthly on vet advice.

She was wormed when she was little, about 8-9 weeks. She is now six months old

Have you wormed the cat recently? I remember one of mine threw up a huge white tapeworm that slithered on the kitchen floor so I worm them every 3 months now.

Other possibilities are eating string or long grass/hay.

She needs to see a vet. You should never pull string out. It can cause damage to the intestines. Though hopefully she's fine.

This, as soon as possible.

Please please take her to the vet asap
