How to get cat to take katalax

My cat is constipated and being typically cat like and refusing to take her medicine… Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get her to take it please? I’ve tried putting it on her paw as the medicine suggests - she licks a tiny bit then smears the rest on the floor trying to get it off. I’ve tried mixing it with her food - won’t eat the food when it’s got katalax in it. The most she’s had is about 3/4 of a dose mixed with some lick-e-lix but when I tried that a second time she completely refused to eat it.

I’m out of ideas but desperate to get the poor cat to take her medicine so she can poo! Any ideas gratefully received

Squirt it directly into their mouth - you may have to wrap her in a towel and have another person handy!

Mix it into licky licks

😂 I like your style. I was hoping to avoid doing the kitty burrito as she is an epic wriggler and it is almost impossible to pick her up but I may have to resort to that. Am going to try a smaller amount in a different flavour of lick-e-lix and hope I can get it into her stealthily that way. Otherwise kitty burrito here we come…

@Daveandhiscoaches it's the only thing that works for one of mine and he is a real wiggler - I have to shut myself in the bathroom with him Grin

Put it around her mouth, or smeared on the front of the leg, but not too much at a time or they will flick it off!

It turns out my teenager is some kind of cat whisperer. She has managed to get the cat to a) accept having it on her paws and b) enjoy licking it off said paws. Cat still gives me the death stare and cold shoulder when I try. Cats are fickle buggers!! I have at least avoided kitty burrito. Yay.

I sprinkle Fortiflora (very tasty feline probiotics) over a smear of the goo and he devours it. Expensive but a godsend for getting food/medications in.
