Newly diagnosed with IBD, any diet suggestions

Our 9 year old male moggy had a biopsy last week as he'd lost weight, although he was eating a lot, and also had been vomiting frequently and not so great poops.
The vet has recommended Hills z/d food or Proplan dry food but I was wondering if you have any alternative suggestions? He's been on Katkin and likes that and has never really been into dry food so think with these options he will struggle as he's always been a fussy eater... Also, he's not allowed any treats. Would be grateful for any suggestions please

Aww poor chap. I can highly recommend PurrForm raw food. It’s the only thing that settled my girl’s gut. That was 4 years ago. Now, I give it to her for one meal per day and the other is a higher quality wet fish meal. He’s gorgeous 😻

No advice as I haven't had a cat with IBD. But what a handsome lad he is ❤️

Thanks, haven't heard of Purrform but will check it out!
