Cat with mycoplasma

My male cat (aged 10) was diagnosed with mycoplasma last autumn.

He's so far been through 2 rounds of antibiotics (first was doxycycline for 30 days, with a break of approx. a month before symptoms came back, then another 30 days of Ronaxan).

It's been a few weeks since the end of his last antibiotic course and symptoms are back again. A really coarse sounding cough which happens one or twice a day - usually when he's been sleeping for a while, sneezing, quite vocal (although I think he's partially deaf as well) and generally appearing a bit restless.

I'm not sure what to do as antibiotics aren't working so far, and as per most cats he hates taking his tablets (tries to run away from me 😅 ), and if I put some in his wet food he turns his nose up and complains for hours, usually leaving some of it.

It feels like this is something he's going to have to live with for the rest of his life.
I am starting to feel down as I just want him to get better.

Anyone have experience of mycoplasma with their cat(s)?
