So worried for my boy

My cat is 16 this summer. In recent times he has struggled more with jumping up onto higher places. Yesterday I noticed he was struggling to put weight on his back left leg so I think he's maybe tried to jump up and fell awkwardly onto it. He is limping and struggling with stairs, he just peed on his bed and he seems really jumpy to noises that would not usually bother him. I will call the vet as soon as they open but what do you think? I'm so worried particularly due to his age

Oh it's so hard when they get old and you worry so much about every little thing.

Chances are he's just strained a muscle and needs some pain relief & rest, the peeing as I'm sure you know cpuld be down to pain & discomfort.
