Kitten has terrible breath - teething?

My little boy is 5 months old. He's got absolutely terrible breath! Doesn't this happen when they lose baby teeth and big cat teeth come through!

Has he been licking his bum lots? It's a common cause of bad breath in cats.

All cats have pretty bad breath in my experience - I've not heard it being any worse for kittens.

If it smells fishy then it’s often teeth.

It’s probably just regular cat breath, which is bad.
