Help! Kitten ate stilton

Our 5 month old kitten ate some Stilton off my plate yesterday afternoon - about the size of a dice.

Google tells me that Stilton is toxic for cats. Our kitten did a very smelly poo last night and has been off his food today. He’s now done a very runny poo this evening.

Any advice? Do we just keep an eye on him or ring the vets? He seems fine in himself otherwise. Thank you

Stilton and other blue cheese isn't advisable for cats because of Penicillium, a bacteria which can be toxic to them. For that reason and because your kitten is young, and because he's had some symptoms I'd get the vet to look have a look at him.

Ideally he should have gone to the vets yesterday - after 24 hours I'm not sure there's much they can do but I would ring and ask the OOH service.

The vet said to just keep an eye on him and thankfully he’s been fine since - I think he got it all out of his system yesterday!
Hes back to his usual loopy self today 🐈‍⬛
