Moving on after Gizmo

Hi All, thanks again for all your loving messages after my darling girl Gizmo was put to sleep two weeks ago, your support was so kind.
Anyway, I managed a week of saying Gizmo could never be replaced when a friend contacted me to say she knew of an 8 month old kitten who needed rehoming as the owner couldn't cope, so I went to meet him and instantly took him to the vet for a health check, followed by a neuter and microchip........
Everyone, meet Mowgli!!!!

Oh look at him! I love a brown tabby, he's gorgeous. And Mowgli is such a good name.

A cat can never be replaced, but you can always add additions, a distraction and a new baby to love
I am sure Gizmo will be delighted another cat will be loved and adored by you and Mowgli is an exceptionally lucky cat

Hi OP, didn't see your previous post, but I lost my cat in 2022 and said I would never get another cat. Anyways, 2 weeks later I had a new kitten, and she saved me. I still grieved my other cat, but god did she soothe the pain. I often think my old cat sent her to me.
You did the right thing, you have too much love for it to go wasted. Welcome mowgli 🩶

OP I didn’t see your previous thread (sorry for your Gizmo loss 💕) but I started a thread a few weeks ago because we recently lost our 20 yr old girl. We went from getting ready to donate her food, her left over bags of cat litter etc…. to just over a week later adopting 2 beautiful 7 month old boy cat brothers!

They have brought so much joy! New cats don’t replace your previous ones, they just bring purry furry love 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Ime only a dcat can fill a dcat shaped hole in your life.. We lost one of a pair or db's.. I caved when poor dcat seemed to be fading away...
