I have just got a new rescue cat. We are one week in. Not yet taken out insurance. We just visited the vet to get her signed up on a health plan as I wanted prescribed flea treatment.
The vet said she had a slight heart murmur and would be putting this in her notes. She is otherwise fine and healthy and vet said it is likely it will not cause her any problems.
However this will now affect insurance as it will become classed as a pre existing condition?! I feel like I have lost before I've even started!
