Cat insurance

My cat is currently insured with Petplan. He has gingivitis & was diagnosed with it just before I took out the insurance so unfortunately a pre-existing condition.
My renewal has just come through & it's increased like everything else 😔
Do you shop around each year or would you stick with petplan?

Dental things don't tend to be covered anyway. I'm
With Tesco and very happy with them.

We were with John Lewis for our girl’s whole life - only claimed once when she was diagnosed with cancer at ten, and they paid out very quickly with no bother. The premium went up each year but we were happy with the cost.

Our boy is with Admiral. He’s nearly two and I hope it is a very, very long time until we ever have to claim.

Both have offered a 24/7 helpline to a vet nurse. I used it a couple of times with our girl and found it really helpful as a kind of sense check - on one occasion she had a kind of weird rash round her mouth and we did a video call. When we adopted our wee boy I specifically looked for a policy that had a similar service.
