Best cat litter for tracking?!

Sorry if this has been done to death but would love up to date opinions. We foster cats who have to remain indoors for the foster period. Therefore we have to have litter trays. We currently use Amazon clumping cat litter which isn't bad but it does go powdery quickly and track on the rug a lot. Their paws come out white from dust!

Can people throw their litter recommendations at me please? Ideally want to stick to clumping. Bonus points for being fairly environmentally friendly! Most important is that it doesn't track badly.

Thank you :)

Cats best smart pellets- no tracking at all.

Maizy tracked here.

Thank you both!

Does anyone have views on Catsan or Ever Clean (both clumping, natural versions)?

Have you got a litter mat?
We use Greenwoods (which I saw recommended on here) and have a mat in front of the tray. Some litter does come out on the cats paws but it all seems to get trapped in the tray, which is then easy to empty out. Previously when we had clay litter the individual grains were too big to get inside the mat and so it tracked much worse.
The reviews of Greenwoods on Zooplus complain about tracking but that hasn't been my experience at all. Also it is made of corn and smells really nice when fresh, clumps well and traps odour well.
