To wake my cat up when she sleeps all day- because she spends all night waking me up?

No.

But be prepared for a response that is both brutal and disproportionate.

I once caught DH poking our Tortie in the side (gently) while muttering 'meow meow meow'. I asked him what he was doing and his response was 'That's what she does at 4 AM to me'.

It did not end well for him.

I just read my post to DH and he commented; 'You can outwit a cat.... But you can't out-arm them'.

StormingNorman · 08/11/2024 18:04

I did it once. She shot me an evil like I’d never seen before and we weren’t friends again until dinner time 😂

Mine are put to bed and ignored all night.

I definitely play a lot with them in the evenings as well as cuddles.

They love their routine!

Anniegetyourgun · 08/11/2024 19:04

It's your fault for sleeping at the wrong time. Just change your routine so you sleep in the day and are ready to play at night - sorted!

girlofsandwich · 08/11/2024 20:43

You can't do that OP though I absolutely feel your pain 😂 They are crepuscular and need lots of little naps. Is she indoors or outdoors?

Marblesbackagain · 08/11/2024 20:58

As long as you are prepared to wake with her sitting threatening on your chest!

Don't argue with a cat. It won't end well.
