Hello
I have a new cat, she is friendly and will come out for strokes and sleep by me. She hides behind the dining table bench sometimes which I know is normal.
However today she has been hiding there when I leave the room and then when I come back in the room comes out 
I find it so funny and cute! Making me feel better and than she likes me.
