Cat sprays vertically in litter box

My cat has been having some issues with spraying. We've introduced more litter boxes and this has reduced.

But even in the litter tray he sprays vertically. Never squats.

We've seen the vet at his annual check up who said everything feels healthy.

Any ideas why? It's a pain to clean the boxes as always gets into the joins (we have hooded boxes)

One of mine does this and I’ve found litter boxes which are hooded and have no joins. On Amazon. Life changing!

I was going to suggest this one too. A much better design than the ones with a seam around spraying height, great for my ferocious digger and super easy to clean.

You can buy a large Wham or Really Useful Box storage box and cut a gap the size of a cat flap in one side.
