Never owned a car before put contemplating taking in a kitten than needs rehoming. Are they hard to look after in a complete novice.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed

Planning for cats to be outdoor cats but going to take my time choosing the right two. Is it better to get two from the same litter or separate litters?

A lot of rescues will have litters & encourage people to take a pair from them - they could also tell you if any kittens are especially close & ought to stay together.

Although I fostered a pair who everyone assumed were sisters, but not related at all. Just rescued at the same time, & bonded while they were with us.

Same litter is more common as they have grown up together. Get a pair who are already bonded - with our kittens the rescue centre had already decided which pairings they would leave in and advertised them accordingly, whereas sometimes rescued advertise them as a litter and you could discuss if there are kittens who are particularly close.

I’d get separate litters personally but get them on the same day, I got my two from the same rescue but different litters they are only two weeks apart in age and get on fantastic!

We've had a bonded (non-sibling) pair and siblings in the past. It didn't make much difference to how they interacted as they grew.

Seconding the Black Cat Love .......and you can dress them up ( Virtual Dress Up , obvs ) at Christmas *

*Disclaimer , animals are not toys for our amusement though our guinea-pigs quite happily posed in Santa Hats if it meant they got the rest of the sprout tree
