Lump on cats side

Hey all! I know nobody can answer this and my cat is booked in for tomorrow but thought I would see if anyone had this and how it turned out?

I noticed a lump on my cats side- near her stomach about where your thumb would be if you're lifting a cat (hope that makes sense).

It is a bit squishy and she is not happy at it being touched. She has perked up a bit but was very meh earlier- normally she would follow me when I get up and go to the kitchen.

Taking her tomorrow and preparing myself but wondered if anyone has had similar and it not be sinister? She is cleaning a lot more and has been scratching but we use advocact from the vets and much more regularly than we used to!

Thank you 🐱

My female cat had a small soft lump on her side. The vet took a sample and turns out it was just a fatty lump. No need for an operation, just need monitor it as it may or may not get bigger.

Thank you for that! I'm hoping it is something similar. Will find out this evening!

It could be a lipoma if it's soft and squishy, but they don't normally hurt or cause pain, so if it were me, I'd want it to be biopsied to rule out cancer.
