The fleas!

About to battle an infestation, have got the flea treatment for cats, shampoo and indorex.
This is our first experience of fleas (and first time pet owners) so we didn’t realise they had them until we saw them scratching and I got a few bites around my feet!!

basically I’m worried about our clothes, cats have been out the kitchen where I usually sort the clothes after washing/drying and I’m worried eggs may have transferred, it’s overwhelming enough to de flea the house I don’t think I’ll cope if I need to rewash all our clothes (family of 5)
can I spray with indorex?
any other advice please?
thanks for reading if you made it that far!’

Are you using flea treatment from the vet every month? We use Stronghold plus.

No, I’ve got some spot on treatment and a friend recommended Johnson’s flea tablets so will be using those.
im not in a position to purchase the vets versions for 2 cats this month but will hopefully sort that starting from beginning of Dec

Advantage spot on flea treatment can be bought online without a script at Viovet and UK vet. Stuff like Johnsons, bob martin etc. don't really do much.

Re. clothes - do you think the cats have slept on them? I have sprayed my own clothes, but don't know if it's safe for children.

Wash cats bedding and yours on the hottest wash possible.

Keep spraying/vacuuming for a while even after the fleas seem to have gone. Empty out vacuum after each use, tie it up and dispose of it outside the house.
