Hi all. Has anyone tried marro cat food? Seen it advertised. Wandered how it holds up against katkin!

Thank you

Yes and it’s the only cat food my little one will eat and believe me I’ve tried EVERYTHING. She would not even sniff the KatKin. It’s not cheap but nothing goes to waste in this household. My code will get you 50% off two boxes I think which makes it affordable at least to try. It’s frozen, I just leave a few in the fridge.

I would agree. We'd tried a few high meat foods but the fussy little terror wouldn't eat them. (McDonalds aka Felix yes...) then we tried Marro and after a gentle introduction he's eating it happily. The only issue we have is not much freezer space!

Yes. I tried it. Penelope would t eat it. So stopped the subscription. I found some left over sachets in the freezer. And she wolfed them down. Turns out she didn’t want them
warmed. I might get another box.

I've got 4 cats and only 1 will eat it. I've even tried mixing it with their old food. I've got a freezer full of it too!

Can I ask please - how much are you feeding at a time? I’ve just signed up for my 11 year old boy, who weighs in at 7kg. Their website suggests 90g per day, which doesn’t seem like a lot! Do I top up still with dry?

CatsRuleMyLife · 25/05/2025 21:36

I've just started using it for our fussy old cat and he loves it. He's on 180g a day, they rang me to ask how he was doing on it and I said I felt he needed more so they suggested 180g from 130g.

It's the first food I've tried in over 2 years that he has eaten for more than 2 days without going off it so I'm keeping everything crossed that he continues to eat it.

Yeah, warming doesn't work for us unless it's the beef (in which case the fat needs melting but not very much). Mostly we get a pack out the fridge and watch it vanish...

My two won’t touch it. You have to get a subscription and I foolishly forgot to cancel, so was charged for a month of food for two cats which they won’t eat. I wish they did taster sachets.

OneTwoFiveSix · 27/05/2025 17:21

First sachet done, chicken as I thought given how much he loves a roast dinner it was the safest bet Grin All gone, no problem.

i still can’t get my head around them saying one 90g pouch per day - but being honest I’m not sure I can afford for him to have two per day. I guess I will have to mix and match a little.
