We have a cat for first time in years!

I'm so excited to have a cat in the house again! We haven't had one for years for various reasons but at the weekend adopted a lovely 1yr old girl. Whole family is besotted, especially teen DD who has been having a really tough time recently.

Suggested as a joke initially but it stuck and we think it's cute!

She is currently feeling a little sorry for herself wearing the cone of shame today as she was pulling at her stitches (just been spayed). She's been happy to have lots of stroking and fuss though.

ah bless her - keep an eye on her to make sure she can eat and drink ok with the cone on
