So we adopted an adult male cat. Neutered - don't know if that's relevant. I didn't initially want a pet to add to an already busy household but he chose me as his human so obviously we're best friends now. I was pregnant with DC at the time but he wasn't particularly interested in my bump (like you see in those cutesy Facebook videos) and tbh I always thought that was a female cat thing. He's now always around me when I care for the baby and even grooms his hair while I'm feeding at silly hours in the night. Sometimes when baby cries, he puts his paw on him. I'm very curious - does he think it's a kitten? It's not obsessive, as he can go days without acknowledging the baby. I tried googling but most pages seem to say that cats don't recognise human babies as babies etc. I think it's adorable but would love to know what he's thinking!
