Agria or Petplan

Hi - We're currently in the process of adopting a cat. I've seen the recent thread on Petplan which people generally seen happy with. I was also looking at Agria and wandered if anyone had experience of using them?

The premiums are slightly cheaper with Agria for £20k cover instead of £12k with Petplan. With Agria there would be an excess of 10% when our cat is 7 yrs old and then 20% from 11 years, versus 20% excess from age 10 at Petplan.

This will be our first cat so I'm not really sure if £12k cover is enough, or how much vets fees may reach when the cat is older. I'm sure I'm overthinking this but would appreciate any advice.

Our vet personally recommended Agria as it’s what she uses for her own pets - this is despite the practice itself being Petplan affiliated. We haven’t had to use our policy (yet🤞) so can’t give you any advice as to how they are to claim from, I’m afraid!
