Tips for introducing new kitten to existing cats?

We have an older lady cat and until recently had two young male brothers-got together as kittens but one died :(

Old lady cat hated the boys, just for context! The two left generally just ignore each other but the male really desperately wants to play with her!

We are getting a new boy kitten (perhaps might be someone for him to play with?!) but wondering the best way to introduce them all. Keep the kitten in a separate room for a few days? Weeks?

Does anyone have cats that don’t hate each other and can make some suggestions?

We've always had multiple unrelated cats and we've just let them get on with it - basically, the total opposite of what you're actually supposed to do 😂

We got our latest in summer last year - we brought him home in the carrier and let our resident boys come and give him a sniff - we had a couple of hisses but nothing major. He then came out on my lap and again, a couple more hisses but nothing else.

The next morning, we let him roam (under supervision) and within an hour he was playing with the middle boy. The next day, he was being washed by the 7yo and that was it, really. Never had any issues or fights and they've always shared resources etc. without an issue. They do go out though which I think is really important as it gives them all a break if they need it.

They're 8, 4 and 1 now and sleep in a giant cat puddle on the sofa. They share treats everyday and often play zoomies around the house. I also see them out and about together like a little cat crew 😂
