What mix do you think he could be?!

My rescue kitten Wolf is gigantic at 6 months old, the vets didn’t believe his age at all but the rescue raised them themselves. He is clearly mainly tabby but I was wondering about his big ears and spotty belly? He has no grey on him, all brown/black. Bengal? Maine coon!? Or do tabby’s just grow that big?

He’s a surly little madam, friendly but on his terms! The orange cat pictured with him is 11 months old 😌

Juat looks like a big moggy (Heinz 57) to me, I wouldn't assume anything posh in terms of ancestory.
All the better for it too 😻

MonsteraMama · 18/09/2024 08:57

Oh he's lovely. We had a tabby get huge once too, much bigger than our other cats, so maybe some of them are just big chonks.

Perhaps part tiger?

He's gorgeous whatever he is ❤️

He's a British moggy, by the look of it (and a very cute one!)

Tabby and white is quite a common mixture, but anything from white through to black, inc, ginger, calico, tabby, tortie, etc are all very normal colours for the great British moggy!

Thank you all! Heinz 57 is indeed the best flavour, we love him - he likes us, sometimes 🤣 his favourite person is my 8yr old DD who worships him

FWK (friend with kittens - but no longer kittens!) adopted 2 moggies from a FOAF. Rather small mother, all the local toms were standard sized moggies.

The ginger is now around 7kg, and is dwarfed by his grey tabby brother at over 8kg. Gandalf (the Grey of course) stretches the length of FWK's desk when he lies down, and has no problems with getting his paws on the desk and his head above when he stands on his back legs - he's enormous! And no he isn't fat either, though Tallie the ginger can be a bit of a piglet with food.

Forgot to say - yours is a very handsome chap indeed! 😍

OhNoNoNo22 · 18/09/2024 09:29

Oh what a cutie 😍 I'd say possibly Maine Coon somewhere in his heritage but generally he just looks like a Gorgeous Boy, which I believe are the best kind of cat 😊

Onthedoubleline · 18/09/2024 10:22

The Gorgeous Boy pedigree - love it 🥰

Very handsome boy and doesn't he know it. 😸

Pudmyboy · 18/09/2024 21:01

He is gorgeous and barely fits into whatever he is sitting in, in the first pic, but it doesn't matter because he is so cute!😻

Pudmyboy · 18/09/2024 21:04

(was going to say all the cute ones are aloof but realised a) it's not true and b) it would probably break The Litter Tray with the pile-on of protests with pictures of cute and cuddly cats!)

ladymalfoy45 · 18/09/2024 21:11

50% put that down,30% don't eat it, and 20% FFS you'll eat everything but the face ?!
From my experience of gorgeous cats like that.
