I'm so lucky with LittleBeast he's snuggled up to me as I type and he is an amazing, cuddle monster. One of the cutest things is he strokes me when he's on the verge of sleep.

We are lucky to have 3 affectionate cats here. Cat1 runs to meet us every day and loudly mews at us if we don't move into the house fast enough. He jumps up and demands cuddles, kneading, head bumps etc. Hw will equally demand cuddle and strokes from any randomer in the house - not fussy.
cat2 is soft and quiet and cuddles are more precious and rationed. She didn't cuddle until she'd made very sure we were acceptable, which took about 5 years.
cat3 doesn't cuddle properly but will run over and throw himself on the ground in front of you to have his tummy tickled. The only person he cuddles with is DH who was formerly not a cat person but now is THIS cat's person.
On only one memorable occasion, I had all 3 of them laid out on me when I was on the sofa. A pile of furry heaven!

Our 1st cat (adopted us) adored DP. I was there to feed, take care of heath needs. Cat would sit on DP at every opportunity.

Their fav trick was to sit on DP in the morning and wake DP up by sneezing in their face *so gross but funny to watch). Then on the last of their life I was suddenly rewarded with cuddles, sitting on my knee, purrs and licks.

We like to think it was them.saying good-bys and "thank you, I did appreciate it all"

Our boys are very different in how they express affection. One hates being picked up, but always comes and sits with us, head butting for strokes first thing, and lies about patting my feet when I'm cooking.

His brother is an absolute purr monster, and lies like a baby in your arms. They both love a tummy rub. The Senior Cat is the softest idiot I've ever come across. Every time he comes in the house, he yells until he finds one of us, and then yell purrs to be picked up. They lie on the desk when we're working, they always curl up around me during the evening, the Senior Cat gets himself into tiny spaces and corners to be on my left hip every evening. Lovely boys.

@mazylou

Look at the expression on the left hand cat! I wonder what he is thinking!!

Mine are all affectionate - cat 1 I am favourite person of, she sleeps with me and is just very purry, lots of head bumps, gazes adoringly at me. Cat 2 prefers DD but I am acceptable, she has finally decided she will let me fuss her without turning it into a play fight. But it is my lap she likes in the evening. She sleeps with DD and sometimes puts her paw in DD's hand as they sleep.
Cat 3 shows love very intensely but in short bursts. Demands fuss, makes biscuits ferociously with claws out, preferably on my skin and dribbles. Then leaps off.
Cat 4 is a generally very easy going chap. Greets everyone with a chirp. I think I'm the only person he lets pick him up, he shrieks but doesn't wriggle. He will give me a brief groom and a love bite (always slightly nerve wracking)

Probably where are the Dreamies.

My gorgeous girl likes to sit on my boobs when I am reclining and if I stop stroking her she headbutts my chin! makes watching TV awkward, but totally worth it for the purrs and kisses

Elton is the most loving (needy)boy in the world so I get lots of kisses and cuddles 🙂. My favourite moment is after we've all settled down at night ( he sleeps on his pillow above our heads). I raise my arm and tuck my hand into his belly, whilst he wraps his long furry spider legs around my wrist and rests his head on my arm. I'm no longer sure who's comforting who! Sadly it doesn't last long, as I get cramp in my shoulder but whilst it does it's magical. Photo is him loving on my DH - similar pose not as cool as my night time snuggle

Mine does that touching with his paw thing too, at first I thought it was just a random thing, but have realised it really is something he does to maintain contact. The first time he did it was in the cab bringing him home, I felt a tug, and there was his paw through the catbox bars resting on my coat sleeve.

I have two classic lap cats, one who is very small and wobbly who likes to lie along my forearm and go to sleep, one who likes to sit on the table where I work and get pets but on her terms only, and the fifth will climb into me when HE wants cuddles/brushing but otherwise must not be touched. They're very different characters.

My darling girl (16yo) absolutely adores me (works both ways). Every night, at bed time, she hops on the bed and snuggles up - she purrs so loudly and grooms my arm. She makes these little chirping sounds when she wants my attention. When I have been away she is like my shadow for a week or so after.

My last cat, many many moons ago, was my absolute love. She was feral when I got her her rescuers said she was being bullied by other feral cats and wasn't getting food. She was very skinny when she came to me.

my vet recommended I kept her as an indoor cat, as she was impossible to control at the vets, I mean, going for any body's eyes if you attempted to do anything with her, like like pick her up or stroke her.

She wasn't frightened in so much as she didn't ever hide, not her. She's just come out fighting g.

We eventually reached a truce, she's get on my lap to have a stroke, and when she'd have enough, she'd let me know by biting me. Fair enough, I suppose.

She'd run towards anyone who came into the house. have rescued many a meter reader etc who ended up with my cat dangling from their hand.

As I say, my most loved cat. You figure it out, I cannot.

Climbs onto my laps and sticks his head in my armpit.

I’ve just adopted a cat (cat tax paid below). When I come in she runs towards me with her tail up & weaves round my legs. She purrs when I stroke her & sometimes we just sit & blink at each other. She’s not a lap cat but she sleeps at the end of my bed. 😻

Insanely gorgeous x
