Cat did a strange thing today

Maybe it’s not strange but I’ve certainly never had a cat do it!
She was sitting on the window sill, and I was standing there too and we were just watching together, I was petting her and talking to her. All of a sudden she turned round and put both her paws right up on to my chest for a few seconds, like a dog would, so she was standing upright on two feet. I was actually quite surprised.
She’s 4, and she’s never been around dogs (only potential thing I could think of).

Anyone else’s cat done this?

Its pretty normal for a cat to do that.

Wow.. had cats all my life and never had one do that!

I don't think I've ever met a cat who hasn't done this! It's very, very normal.

I must have very abnormal cats. Although aware it’s normal, never had a cat do it. Putting their paws on to the window thinking they can get to a tasty bird, they do that all the time.

My little love never did and I haven't seen any cats do it, have to say I am jealous!

That's disappointing,
I thought you were going to say the cat turned around and said "Did you see that? That man threw something on tbe ground and didn't bury it."

My cat jumps up like that when he wants picking up. He's the first cat I've had that actively wants to be picked up though.

I had one that would do that and then give me a nuzzle. His mother would just sneer and then turn and walk off. Never a dull moment with cats.

I have an antisocial cat that does turn around and puts her paws on me. I feel blessed when this happens as she ignores me the rest of the time.

Cats ARE strange one of mine will stretch out her paw and poke me in the cheek to check if I’m asleep or not. If she remains unconvinced, she will start licking my eyebrow.

He’s a wee poppet, isn’t he? We adopted him shortly after losing our lovely girl cat to cancer and he’s been such a joy.

My cat visitor seems to spend most of his time on 2 legs
