Peeing on bed when in heat?

Do female cats in heat pee on things?!

We have two very young cats, one male one female - the male has been spayed, but the female wasn’t big enough yet, so is hopefully being spayed next week. She has been calling and seems to be in heat.

The other night I found a huge wet patch on my bed with no explanation, it didn’t smell like cat pee particularly, but no other explanation. Washed everything including duvet - this morning I go to shut my bedroom door because I can hear the cats in there, and there is a wet patch on the EXACT same spot, so it’s definitely cat pee ☹️

I didn’t know which cat to blame, but if it’s the female peeing on stuff in heat that’s a reasonable explanation with a clear solution… Has anyone experienced this at all?

Yes.
My female was booked in to be done but then started yowling and peeing on the bath mat, so her op was delayed. Once she was done it was never an issue again, so it seems like a reasonable assumption to me that it’s your female.

@NoShirtNoShoesNoSheldon thank you, it seems to be the most logical explanation then. Hopefully it will be sorted, because honestly, they have been a world of trouble and right now this feels like the last drop!
