Ceramic hob cover?

Recently got a new oven with a ceramic hob. Boy cat is very stupid. The combination is scaring me. Anything I can use to cover it?

I've been through Amazon but can't see anything that particularly fits.

You can get custom-made hob covers online - there are websites especially for this. Rather than looking on Amazon you need to search on Google for ‘hob covers’.

We had one of these once and the company we bought it from were great, I think we sent them details of our exact cooker and measurements. It was a long time ago and I don’t recall the company to recommend them but you should be able to find some options if you search. The cover we had was heatproof so we could put it on as soon as we finished cooking.

Hope you come back sometime and see this!

I fill the pan with cold water and put it back onto the hob.

We have a hob cover for different reasons. Ours is stainless steel, and we bought it from eBay. It can flip up against the wall, or sometimes, I lay it over the sink when using it for extra work top space.

I have some silicon mats from Le Cruset that I put over my induction hob, though I imagine it doesn't get as hot as a ceramic one
