Should I be concerned about this eye?

Hi, wondering if anyone can help.

My cat isn't due her annual checkup for another couple of months but have noticed her eye is (very) slowly turning brown. She is 10 so it may just be a bit of age showing through but wondering if anyone has any advice or if you think I should just take her down to the vet?

Thanks

could you send the vet a picture and ask?

One of mine (Basil) has had this for three or four years, starting at a similar age to yours. The vet seems completely unworried - but I'd ask your vet just to nake sure.

My late old lady cat developed brown spots in her irises as she grew older. Vet was happy that they were benign age-related changes and she left us at the age of 17 with eyes that looked like little planets ❤️

Thanks all, that's really helpful. Shall send the pic to the vet and see if they think it is problematic but suspect she's just heading into her middle age ....!

I've definitely seen this in my cats as they've aged. Beautiful cat!
