Heated beds

My cat is fickle - over the years I have spent a fortune on cat beds and blankets - some she likes and some she ignores.

last year to keep her warm at night I fashioned a tent like structure using my electric heated throw switches on low. She loved it - slept in there every night and I never worried she would be cold with the heating off.

the electric throw stopped working in spring and I am thinking of replacing it with a proper heated cat bed - but it’s a risk!

any recommendations? She doesn’t usually like igloo type beds but she did sleep in her makeshift warm
blanket tent!

We have a heated pad. It heats to a set temperature (can't remember what) and won't get hotter than that. It is under a fluffy blanket (which belongs to the cat) on a timer switch! He sleeps in one particular place overnight so that's where the pad is. He has also learned what time it comes on in the evening and will hop up about 10 minutes later 😂 When it's very cold I will override the timer so he can sleep in heated comfort during the day too (he's 18 and arthritic!) Bought the pad online and apparently they have similar at our vets.... Best thing I've ever bought for a cat (and the only thing he hasn't rejected!)

That sounds great! One of mine would love that, don't suppose you remember where you got it from - is it just 'heated pet pad'? I've already stolen the cats' cold blanket, I'd probably like a heated one too...

I had a heated pad and for my gorgeous 20 year old cat, it was less then £20.00 (9 years ago) and the best thing I ever bought her, she loved it so much. We just had it on the sofa.

I've just googled - there's loads, they look fab.

Does it work for dogs too?
