Messy eater cat

My cat is a super-messy eater. Food goes everywhere, and it's not helped by the fact that the bowl is flimsy (was a gift from DCs friend to DC when we got the cat).

I need a studier feeding system! Was hoping for a fairly aesthetically pleasing one with 2 bowls. Any recommendations please? Or any other systems that help keep cat food mess more contained?

My cats are messy eaters - but I've found that using a large platter rather than bowls does reduce the mess that goes onto the floor.

I found a raised slow feeder helped my incredibly messy boy. Only problem was that he had a flat face, so couldn't get all of the food out of the bowl. So have had to go back to normal. I've never seen so much mess!

The larger plate bowl thing, may explain why Paddington arrived with a soup plate in his box of belongings. 🤣
