May be getting a rescue cat soon

Hi all, we lost our cat back in January and were devastated, he originally belonged to my DF who died and we then nherited him.

Since then, we have moved house and I have finished uni, we agreed once I got a permanent job and more money coming into the house then we would look to get another cat. Had a browse on Cats Protection last night at the cats for adoption and have filled out a form enquiring about one after thinking it may be best to try and rehome a cat now while someone is still at home all the time. I should be getting my job offer in the next week or two so won't be starting work properly until October or November.

Cats Protection emailed back an hour later asking more questions about our home setup etc. We've not told the kids in case it doesn't happen but I'm feeling excited!

We adopted in April and she is so much a part of our household now, I can't imagine life without her!

Fingers crossed it all goes well!

Thanks! The cat seems ideal for us so hopefully they'll pick us to adopt her

Remember you don't choose the cat, the cat chooses you. DSis went to look at one pair of cats who on paper were the perfect fit for her & her adult son. The came home with 2 different cats, as the original pair didn't seem to want to talk to them, but the other 2 basically told them that they were going home with them lol.

And don't lose hope if this one isn't the right one, there are so many out there needing homes & the perfect cat for your household will come along
