Emergency vets?

Hi everyone, hoping someone can reassure me!
My 1yo cat started having diarrhoea last Tuesday. It was a couple of times a day but otherwise she was fine - eating, drinking, playing and quite happy.

On Thursday night, she was sick after she’d eaten and then again on Friday morning (not after food). Her diarrhoea was very bad on Friday morning too. I took her to the vet who suggested it could be an infection or a foreign body. They gave her an anti sickness jab and some pain relief. They recommended a bland diet and staying in over the weekend. Then back on Monday if no improvement for probable investigation into a foreign body.

She hasn’t had a poo since Friday morning! She is eating her bland diet and weeing but no poo at all, and no sick. She seems absolutely fine, her normal self. But I’m worried if there’s a foreign body that she might not be able to poo?

I’m unsure whether to just see how she goes until tomorrow as she’s not in any distress or obvious pain, or if I should take her to the emergency vets today. Can anyone advise? Thank you very much!

If she's eating, drinking, acting normally and not vomiting, I wouldn't worry.

Just keep an eye on her and be prepared to take her in if she deteriorates.

If her blame diet is chicken or something like that they don't tend to poop much on a plain chicken diet.

Thank you both. The bland diet is a gastrointestinal food I bought from the vets. Maybe that’s the reason she hasn’t pooed. Weirdly though, her sister (who is well and eating her usual food) also hasn’t pooed since Friday!
