Missing my dcat

I'm hoping to get some inspiration for where to look next. My cat has been missing for three days. She's never done this before. I've made some posters, called all the local vets and knocked on so many neighbours doors that I've lost count now. One receptionist I've spoken to this morning said her cat was stuck on a roof which has given me another idea of where to look.

She is microchipped and has a collar with a tag (I know there's split opinion on using collars on here).

If one of your cats has gone missing in the past, where did you find them?

In a shed, he jumped on the roof, the roof was rotten, he fell through, it's since been repaired.

Second time in the enclosed alleyway across the road. Again he was on a shed roof and either tried to pounce on a bird and fell in or he's just clumsy.

If he doesn't come in for his dinner when called and it's hours later, my mad cat lady neighbour will open up the door to the alleyway to check.

mine was missing for 9 days. we looked everywhere for her, put posters up, knocked on doors, rang loval vets and put it on our local missing pets fb page. no one had seen her and i was starting to lose hope then one day i opened to back door and she came running in. she was scraggly and hungry so we've no idea where she had been. she stays close to home now.

Mine went missing for 3 days. Summer like now. Came back not particularly hungry. I guess he'd just spent more time sun bathing in the fields, catching young voles etc and / or had a back up 'home' as many cats do. I think they like being out and about more in Summer.

Hopefully she'll be back soon.

At my last house, a next door but one neighbour came round in desperation as her cat hadn't been home for days. The cat had been playing with her friend in my garden for days on end. Again presumably catching her own grub.
She continued btw for a few more days. Cats don't care about letting you know.

Mine disappeared for 5 days, had wandered into a house and the owner was in hospital. Only discovered by her family who went to check for mail and seen my posters. With school holidays your cat may have done similar.

This is helpful to hear. I'm worried she's trapped somewhere without access to water. It's been so hot here but maybe she's lucked out and is having too much fun to come home...

Any news yet @underhedges ? Everything crossed for you!🤞

She's still not home. I put an airtag on my other cat today and now I've tracked his movements there are a few more roads I can go and look down in the hope that Rosie follows where he goes.

Did you end up finding her? Mine has been gone for two days and I’m besides myself, been reading threads here for comfort

One of the most heartbreaking threads on our local f/book.....cat run over and killed. Cat traced via microchip, but he'd gone missing 5 years ago, and theory was he was just making his way home from many miles away and was within 500 yards of safety. Makes me have wet eyes just typing this. So sad. But there is hope for your moggy yet (although I'm worried sick if Rufus is any more than an hour late for supper).
