Female cat - got out…she’s not been spayed 😞

On Monday the plumber left the front door open and my nearly one year old fancy breed house kitten/cat escaped! I repeatedly asked the plumber not to leave the door open..

She went missing for 4 days and has turned back up this afternoon with half a forest in her fur and a very horse meow and absolutely filthy and starving.

The worst bit is she’s due to be spayed in the next 2 weeks 8th August..

what’s the betting she’s pregnant?!? She’s never had a season since we had her and she was never going to be an outdoor cat.

I have booked her a vets appointment but they had nothing till Monday

They should be able to spay and abort in one on Monday.

I am hoping so 🤞🏻

I am so anxious about it now

If she wasn't in season then she won't be pregnant. If she was in season you'd have known allllllll about it!

Glad she is back, albeit a bit ragged round the edges,! You must've been tearing your hair out till she turned up again, wonder if she was trapped somewhere given her condition (hoarseness due to dehydration possibly?? and hunger..)...... hope she stays close to home in future!

@Vroomfondleswaistcoat alas silent calling especially before a first litter isn't that uncommon.

K0OLA1D · 25/07/2024 19:39

If she's being spayed in 2 weeks anyway there is no problem.

Glad you got her back OP!

It doesn't matter if they're in season or not. A toms dick with spikes on forces ovulation.

Just get her spayed OP. All will be well.

My Cat2 was in the early stages of pregnancy when the rescue got her signed over from her neglectful owner. Spaying was fine. My three are all indoors and I hate having workmen in!!
