Ours has just come in soaking from the garden so I towelled him off, is that normal?

Of course!

Yes one of mine loves a good ruffle with a towel when she's soaked. Also helps stop them sogging all over the soft furnishings.

My two kitties loved being dried with a piece of kitchen roll when they came in wet, to the extent that, if Sister came in wet, Brother would come jealously to be 'dried' too, even though he hadn't been out... we had to pretend-dry him and he would purr and purr... 🙄

God, I miss him... 😍 Sister lives yet and still loves to be dried. I think it reminds them of being groomed by their Mum (which, of course, I now am).

Mine prefers to dry herself on my face. 😼

Lay tea towel out flat in middle of living room carpet.

Wait for cat to sit on tea towel.

Leave till dry.

One is stupid and gets soaked on a regular basis and gets dried (slightly against his will.)
Girl cat is more sensible and sits under a chair outside when it's wet. But she can't/won't even tolerate being stroked let alone picked up, I'd never get near her with a towel!

One loves it if he's unfortunate enough that his evil human servant forgets to wait 5 minutes to check if he's busy being the king of behind the shed and destroyer of mice (because you know, needing to leave for work) and he comes in slightly soggy. However, he would also be quite happy to be swaddled like a baby, carried around like the prize twat he is and tucked snugly into a bed at night.

The other one is subjected to semi-regular baths thanks to the guts of doom, so she tolerates a towel wrapped around her loosely, along with a blow dry of sorts - but only from the quieter Parlux, never with the cheap hairdryer I used to have. It's apparently preferable to being wet through.

"...he would also be quite happy to be swaddled like a baby, carried around like the prize twat he is and tucked snugly into a bed at night."

Then you have to do this @NeverDropYourMooncup ... 😍

Mine comes into the house shouting that he's wet. He gets dried off and then wants to go back outside. I have to open the back door so he can see it's still raining and he huffs that it's my fault. If I say "the greenhouse is open" he legs it across the garden then rolls around in the warm greenhouse getting filthy.

Yep, with his own flannel! He likes it
